Update On Chaos!!!!

Well it has definitely been a while since my last blog. Things have been so crazy lately! We just returned from Boise yesterday. My older brother Jess got married to his love Lyndsey on September 26th. It was a small wedding with family and friends. It took place in my parents back yard and turned out beautiful! We are also moving in October to Rupert. Paul got a promotion and we are buying our first home. We are supposed to close on the house on the 12th. Lets hope everything goes to plan!! Also on October 13th I am being induced and we will soon meet our little girl. It has been complete chaos. I am working on packing and cleaning our apt right now and when we close on the house we are repainting it and putting in new flooring. AHHH!! So that is the update right now. Many other things have happened in the previous months, but those are another blog-coming soon.

PICTURES ALSO COMING SOON!

Willey Family Camping Trip

We started a new tradition this year, the Willey family camping trip! YEAH. We will start doing it once a year and we will all take turns planning it. This year I planned it and in mid July we went to Anderson Ranch Reservoir. It was tons of fun and it is the first camping trip we have taken as a whole family in many many years (since I was a child). It was a great experience!! I will go into more detail later, but for now enjoy the many photos!!

First Hair Cut!!

That's right, Maddox got his first hair cut. It was so hard for me to cut off those beautiful curls and ringlets. Don't worry I saved them. I loved his hair, but I was so tired of him being called a girl. Anywhere we went, even though he was totally dressed like a boy, they would tell me what a beautiful girl I had! And on the fourth of July this old lady said, "oh she is so cute." In which Paul replied, "she is a he." She then said something like, "Guess he needs a hair cut." That was it for me. We gave him the haircut and it turned out really good. I had the hardest time getting him to hold still outside on the patio, so Paul and I finally took him upstairs to the tub so Paul could hold him better. It took a while to finish, but that's okay. I still miss his curls.

Cedar Chest

This is my anniversary, mothers day, and birthday gift. I received this beautiful cedar chest from my husband. I love it!! It means so much to me and will be in our family for many years after we are gone. It is one of the best gifts I have ever received! (On the top it say our names and the date we got married. It also has the quote "Come grow old with me... the best is yet to be". On one side of the chest is the Idaho Falls temple- where we took our endowments and on the other side is the Salt Lake temple-where we were married. On the front is a wedding picture of Paul and I.)

4th of July

For the 4th of July Paul's sis DC and her family came up from Utah. Paul had to work that day so it wasn't quite as fun! That morning I took Maddox to the parade and Paul's family met us there. Afterwards we went to the park where they had a band playing and free face painting for the kids, free water, free popsicles, and free hot dogs. It was lots of fun and Maddox got a 4th of July washable tattoo since he wouldn't sit still long enough to get his face painted. Maddox loved the band and went right in front where they were playing and started dancing. It was so cute!! Later that evening when Paul was off from work we went with my sis and her fiance to buy fireworks and dinner at the Green T. As soon as we were done with that we made our way up to Highland to watch the fairground fireworks. We then went to Paul's parent's home and lit of the little kid fireworks. It was a nice evening.
The next day Paul, Maddox, and I went swimming with Paul and his family at Ross Park. It was tons of fun and Maddox loved it. It turned out to be a great weekend.
(The pics I got of the 4th are on my phone because I forgot the camera, but I haven't downloaded them so you only get to see pics of the swim day)

Boise and Charlotte trip

At the end of June Paul, Maddox and I made a trip to Boise. We got there late Wednesday night so Paul and my dad could fly to Charlotte, NC, early Thursday morning, for business. Maddox and I got the chance to stay in Boise and visit with family for about 4 1/2 days until Paul flew back Monday afternoon. It was a great chance to relax and just enjoy ourselves. It was tons of fun. We got to go watch Enoch play rugby and the ladies(My mom, Lyndsay, and I) got to go to the movie The Proposal, while Enoch and Jess babysat. My mom also helped me out a ton with Maddox so I could relax. It was nice! I had a great time, but I sure did miss my hubby and so did Maddox!! I couldn't wait for him to get home and when he did I started to cry. Wow these prego hormones are crazy. Here are some random pics from the trip.

Father's Day

Father's Day this year was very relaxing. In fact it was pretty much like any other Sunday, but this Sunday Paul and I were ask to substitute teach the Sunbeam class and it was Maddox's first time in the Nursery. We were quite nervous since the kids are quite young and energetic and Paul had never been to Primary before, being that he is a convert. We did bring candy, though, just in case we would have to bribe the kids. Everything went great and Paul and I enjoyed ourselves a lot! Maddox also did very well in the nursery and had no problems. It definitely made it a Father's Day to remember!

Update

(I started this blog more for myself, almost like a journal. I have been terrible at posting what is going on with us right now. We have been quite busy and I really just don't have the desire to do it, but I'm making myself! So I will try to post once a day until I am caught up.)

Around the end of June Maddox and I made our way down to Utah to attend one of my great childhood friends, Kadie Kinney's, baby shower. Kadie is expecting her first child, a girl, in August. The baby shower was beautiful and stunning! The food was delicious and we had a fun time playing bingo, even though I didn't win. It was great to see her and her family!! Maddox and I had a great time and wish that we could of stayed and visited longer, but when it was over we had to leave and make the drive back home.

Thanks My Love!!!

Last week I celebrated my 26th birthday. Yuck! I would have rather not celebrated it and just let it pass by like any other day, but my love had different plans. Paul got the day off and early in the afternoon my sister, her boyfriend, my husband, Maddox, and I, made our way to Lava to go swimming. It was very nice. They have some new slides that go across the roadway which Paul and Freddi liked. It was lots of fun, but eventually the storm clouds rolled in and it started to rain. We went to the indoor pool while it finished raining and afterward made our way back outside to eat some food. After that it wasn't raining anymore but it was cloudy and cold, so we decided to make our way back home. Later that evening after everyone had cleaned up Rachael and Freddi took Paul, Maddox, and I out to eat at Red Lobster. It was very good and lots of fun. After that we took Maddox back to our house so his grandparents could watch him while Rachael, Freddi, Paul, and I went to the Angels and Demons movie. (The movie was a lot better than I thought it was going to be!) It was a wonderful birthday and I enjoyed the opportunity to just be with my family the whole day!! Thanks Paul for going out of your way to make it a wonderful day for me. I love you so much!!

And The Ultrasound Says...

Today was our doctor appointment to get the ultrasound done. I was so nervous and anxious. Maddox didn't want anything to do with it, he just wanted to play. But we found out that we are having ...

Here are some photos from the ultrasound. We couldn't get a very good profile of her because she didn't want to cooperate. Everything is healthy and normal and we are excited for her to join our family!!

16 Weeks

Here are some picks of me at 16 weeks. I swear with my first pregnancy it took forever for me to start showing. With this pregnancy, however it came a lot faster. The doctor said that it was normal and that you start showing sooner once you've already had a baby. PHEW!! And I thought I was just getting fat!

TWO YEARS!!

Paul and I celebrated our two year wedding anniversary yesterday!! It was great! We went to Idaho Falls to attend a temple session and go to dinner. Rachael was so kind to babysit for us. We werent sure if we would be able to get a babysitter so we could go to the temple because Paul's mom works nights and Rachael was supposed to fly out for Arizona that day to visit friends, but rescheduled due to the swine flu. It is amazing how things work out when you are trying to do something right. Thank you Rachael!!!It was so nice to be able to go to the temple. It has been quite a while since we have been there and we needed it badly. After our temple session we went to dinner at Johnny Carinos. It was very good and they were having a special where all moms got a free meal, poor Paul. After dinner Paul and I hurried back to Pocatello to go to the movie Wolverine with Rachael and Freddi while Paul's mom took over babysitting, until she had to go to work. Thanks Vickey!! It was a fantastic day! I am so greatful for the wonderful husband I have!!! LOVE YOU PAUL!!

Easter!!

This Easter was great! Last year Maddox was only a little over two months old, so we couldn't really do much. This year, though, was another story. The Friday before Easter we dyed Easter eggs for the first time as a family. It was tons of fun. I boiled 11 eggs, which was too many because it took forever to dye them. Maddox kept trying to eat the eggs and break them and Paul was trying to make the weirdest looking eggs. It was quite funny.Towards the end Maddox got a hold of the cup holding the purple dye and spilt it all over the table. Thank goodness I had a whole roll of paper towels next to me. I meant to take a picture of the finished product, but forgot and ended up peeling them all for Easter breakfast. Oh well.
On Easter Sunday Paul and Maddox woke up to Easter baskets full of candy and other things. One of the things Maddox received in his basket was a bubble gun. Paul had to work it for him, but Maddox loved chasing and popping the bubbles. Later in the evening we took Maddox out to the back yard for an egg hunt. He loved it and did very well finding the eggs and putting them in his basket. A lot of the time he would open the eggs and try to stuff all the jelly beans in his mouth. It was so much fun and I am excited for all the years to come.

Update

With being pregnant I have no desire to do anything, so that is why it has taken me forever to post something... So here is an update.
The last weekend in February Paul , my dad, and I went to San Diego for a business trip. It was lots of fun and the weather was so nice. We wish that we would of just been able to stay longer. The time share that we stayed in was super nice! We wanted so badly to go to the zoo, but were only able to visit the beach. The beach was great, but definitely smelled like the ocean(fishy). I don't know if I like that part of it, but what did I really expect. Hopefully next time we can see all the sights.

The next weekend we made our way to Boise for one of Paul's racquetball tournaments. He was ranked first in the state in singles and doubles!! He has been doing so well this year! It was lots of fun to watch him and visit with the family. Thank goodness for grandparents, who helped out a ton by watching Maddox while I watched Paul play. That weekend my dad also changed Maddox's diaper, which has never been done. My dad does not change diapers. When my siblings and I were children he also did not change our diapers. So of course we had to get a picture!!
The weekend after that my parents came down for my dad to attend his annual Military Ball. Maddox went crazy when he saw my dad in his uniform. He just thought it was so cool. My dad liked the attention and he looked great.
Later in March Jess, Lyndsay, and Jaxx came down to visit and get some things taken care of. It was a nice visit and we all, including Rachael went to dinner at Ruby Tuesdays. After that we went back to our place so that Jess could get his long board out of our garage. Once he went around the parking lot once, Maddox and Jaxx began chasing him trying to get the board. They kept climbing all over it so we sat them on it and pushed them around. After that we couldn't get them off of it. It was so cute!
The last pictures in the slide show I had to include. It was the first time that I let Maddox feed himself. He loved it and made a huge mess. I thought they were so cute and just had to include them!!

BABY ON THE WAY!!!

Paul and I are happy to announce that we are expecting our second child! I am due Oct. 20th. We are extremely excited about the upcoming arrival. We would like a girl this time around, but we will be happy with what ever our Heavenly Father blesses us with. I'm really excited for Maddox to have a sibling. So far I have been feeling extremely tired lately and sleeping whenever I can. I also am nauseated a lot, but don't throw up- it stinks!!

Baby Shower

On Feb. 7th Maddox and I took a nice trip up to Challis, Idaho to attend a friend's Baby Shower. Kristal is having a boy and is due March 27th. It was great to be able to travel up there to see her and her family. The baby shower was tons of fun and there were a lot of people. I'm so excited for her and Mike! They will make great parents!

HAPPY "1st" BIRTHDAY

Maddox turned the big "1yr old" on Feb. 3rd. For Maddox's first Birthday he got to celebrate it twice!! On Jan. 31st, we celebrated Maddox's birthday early with Paul's family down in Utah! It was so much fun and Paul's sisters did so much, thank you. Jenn decorated her home, made Maddox a cake just for him, and made dinner for everyone! Dc special ordered a cake just for his birthday! Once again thank you so much.

On Feb. 3rd we got to celebrate Maddox's Birthday again. We invited family over and had dinner and cake. Maddox received balloons from Paul's parents and just went crazy with them. I had big plans of making a great cake, but when we heard that if it is your child's 1st Birthday, Albertsons will make them one for free. Well we couldn't pass it up (and it was a very nice cake). So we got that cake just for Maddox to tear up and then got another from Costco for everyone else. It was a great evening and lots of fun. We made sure to get a lot of photos.

Maddox received tons of great gifts, but I think he had more fun with the tissue paper and boxes.

Jaxx's First Birthday!

The 27th of December was Jaxx's first Birthday!! Since it was only a few days after Christmas, we celebrated it with the whole family there and some of Enoch's friends. We ate a nice dinner and Rachael and Lyndsay finished icing the cupcakes. We then put Jaxx in a high chair and sang him Happy Birthday and gave him his very own cupcake. Jaxx has a big sweet tooth. At first he didn't know what to do with the cupcake, but as soon as his parents showed him that he could eat it, he tore into it and made quite a mess. It was so cute. After the clean up we went into the front room and watched Jaxx open up his presents. He got some more toys and clothes. He was more interested in the tissue paper, than the contents that were underneath them. Man is he cute. I can tell you right now when Jaxx and Maddox are together it is pure mischief.
Later that evening Maddox and Jaxx took a bath. They had a ball playing together in the tub. I included pictures. It is soooooo cute!

**Christmas**

Christmas was great!! We had the opportunity to spend it with my family this year. Rachael, Maddox, and I drove up on Monday. Paul, unfortunately, had to work and met us up there on Christmas Eve. It was nice and relaxing. Christmas day we woke up and we all went straight to the front room to open presents. (I've noticed since all of us are older now, my dad is the one waking us up instead of us children waking my parents up.) After the opening of the presents we ate breakfast and got ready for the day. After getting ready Rachael and I helped my mom finish Christmas dinner. Later that evening we all sat down to eat the beautiful meal. Man was it good!!! A little while after we ate we all loaded up in the vehicles to go to the movie theater for our traditional Christmas Day movie. This year we saw 4 Christmases. We originally wanted to see Bedtime Stories, but it was sold out. I didn't like the movie, but was happy with the time we got to spend together. It was nice to have the whole family there for Christmas.
